I just found out that I won the KCRA A List 2015 Local Best Blogger Award! I really want to thank Cityvoter and KCRA for making sure that this year’s contest was fair and ethical. I really appreciate it!
The competition this year got a little weird and I think a few people lost their heads. I’m so glad that Cityvoter has the technology to weed out illegitimate votes! Someone maliciously tried to buy votes so that not only they would win in their respective contests but so that one of my competitors would win Best Blogger (none of the other nominees in the Best Blogger category were involved and I have nothing but respect for my fellow bloggers). I saw what was going on the last week of voting and got some weird voice mails from someone pretending to be from Cityvoter from a blocked number but which I traced to someone else in Roseville via a service I subscribe to which unmasks blocked calls. I really appreciate the way Cityvoter listened to my concerns and made sure that among other things the Best Blogger and and the rest of the contests weren’t negatively affected by people trying to buy votes. To the person who tried to impersonate Cityvoter and affect the Best Blogger competition, I know who you are. You’re a beauty related business in Roseville. Be careful, I have evidence which has been given to Cityvoter as well as the police. My cell phone number can trace ALL blocked numbers with names, numbers, and even addresses. I have proof that someone in your family called pretending to be from Cityvoter and made some threats. I won’t out you on my blog for all of Sacramento to see but I WILL if you ever try to do something to me ever again. Life goes a lot more smoothly when you try living your life with integrity.
Whew! I think I won this year’s award justly, but I feel so surprised and slightly saddened that people would try to cheat to win a competition or try to do something to make sure I wouldn’t win. Well, I feel quite certain karma has already taken care of it.
