I feel like the older I get, the more quickly time passes by. So somehow I’ve blinked and it’s December and I’m in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy. I’m not going to lie. I can’t wait to get this baby out of me! My nausea has gotten better but I’m experiencing back pain and pelvic pain. Sleeping well has become a challenge and I’m always pretty tired. My friends have been commenting that I seem to get bigger every week. I’ve noticed that it’s a lot easier for me to get out of bed if Kenny is there to help me. But I’ve been getting excited because we’re nesting and getting things ready for our baby girl. Roxy’s room is lavender. We repainted Roxy’s room lavender and also painted the baby’s room lavender. We’re starting to slowly collect baby items and order furniture and things we will need for the baby.
My awesome friends Daisy, Merisa, Angeline, and Sharon threw us a co-ed baby shower. It was a blast and we were really touched by everyone who came. They asked me if I wanted a donut bar and I said, “I want a donut bar from Sweet Dozen!” Sweet Dozen is a bakery owned by my friend Nuny and they have the best donuts in the Sacramento area hands down. The games were fun. (What are both Kenny and Jackie dreading? Changing diapers? Nope. Lack of sleep? Nope. Right answer: puberty! LOL) Anyway, I just wanted to thank everyone who made it out. Thank you to all of you who have sent gifts. Seriously, they just keep coming. Every single day we get like 3 packages from Amazon and Kenny and I are completely overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity. Thank you especially to Daisy, Merisa, Angeline, and Sharon for all you have done for the baby shower and for helping us to get ready for our baby girl! You guys are the best!
We also had an ultrasound on 12-8-15 and it looks like our baby girl is doing pretty well. They said she isn’t quite as big as they would like her to be but they also noted that I’m very very petite. So please just keep praying that our baby girl keeps cooking and that she can be delivered safely and in good health.
I hope that all of you are having a wonderful holiday season with your families. May God bless all of you and may you all have a Merry Christmas (or Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, whatever you choose to celebrate) and Happy Holidays!
XOXO Jax
