Daikokuya – Los Angeles, CA – Excellent Ramen & Rice Bowls!
Daikokuya really has great ramen and rice bowls. I can say this is my favorite ramen place in the LA area.
This location is really small and only has a few tables and a counter. The caveat with this place is that everyone in your party needs to be there in order to get seated. This is not a good place for groups and it would be risky to come here if you’re in a hurry just because seating is so limited.

I suggest ordering the combo because you can get the Daikokuya ramen (with a nice soft boiled egg, pork, green onion, sprouts, and bamboo) and another item (small shredded pork bowl, pork cutlet bowl, tuna sashimi bowl, chicken bowl, or eel bowl). The ramen broth is so flavorful and the noodles have a soft but chewy fresh texture. The rice bowls are awesome. When my husband and I first took a bite of the shredded pork rice bowl, both of us were exclaiming in delight. We also enjoyed the salad that came with the combo.
I really enjoyed the food here at Daikokuya and I know I’ll be back. I’d recommend this place to anybody who likes ramen or rice bowls. Just make sure that you’re not in a hurry and be prepared to wait for a table.
