So I realized I’m actually quite conservative when it comes to trying something like a new haircut or highlights. I tried out Shelby Walsh, a hairstylist at Images for the first time. This was my first time getting highlights. Seriously. I used to dye my hair all the time in college. Feria was the brand I used and chocolate cherry was the color. But I never got into highlights. Since my hair is jet black, I have always been reluctant to change it dramatically.
I was impressed with the way Shelby listened to everything I said about my hair. I mentioned how my hair is pretty flat with no volume. Shelby convinced me to add some layers to my hair to amp up the volume. She also added some brown highlights. The color wasn’t a dramatic shift. I wasn’t ready for that. But I’m happy with the results. You can’t see the highlights that much in the pics but I can see it in sunlight. I highly recommend Shelby Walsh as a hairstylist and can say that I’m personally vouching for her haircuts and highlighting.
