Exactly one year ago I went into labor while driving, got taken to Methodist Hospital in an ambulance, and Carissa was born 5 weeks early. I can’t believe Carissa is 1! So many things have happened this year. How do you measure a year? In kisses? In bottles? In diapers? In glasses of wine? In miles of gas? In answered prayers? In love?
Carissa is growing so much. I can’t imagine our lives without our smiling baby girl. She’s such a happy baby. She knows how to say Dada, hmmm?, and yeah. She eats Gentleease formula and Chinese chicken congee (gai jook) that I make for her. She is approximately 22.5 lbs and 23 inches.
Happy 1st Birthday Carissa!! We love you so much!! I wish that I could keep you a baby forever. I can’t wait to see you grow and see what you will become.
Love, Mama
To all of my awesome readers, thank you for all your love, prayers, and support through Carissa’s 1st year of life.
XOXO Jax
