I hadn’t been to Hash House A Go Go in years but went here with my husband today. The great food, the large portions, and the awesome service were everything that I remembered.
We ordered the sage fried chicken biscuit benedict with poached egg, fresh spinach, hardwood smoked bacon, heirloom tomato, griddled mozzarella, and chipotle cream over a biscuit. First of all my husband and I split the dish and the two of us couldn’t finish it. It totally hit the spot though and it was delicious. The fried chicken tasted great with the mozzarella and bacon. I ordered a large fresh squeezed orange juice. It was good but at $6.50 a glass, it was a bit pricey.
Here’s my best advice for coming here. Share your meal! The amount of food that comes out is positively ridiculous. You’ll get your money’s worth by sharing. There isn’t much of a wait on week days but you’ll need to get here early on weekends. This is definitely my favorite place for breakfast or brunch in San Diego!
