I’ve been meaning to do a review on House of Prime Rib for awhile. So there are basically only 4 things on the menu. They only offer 4 cuts of prime rib. The City Cut is a smaller cut of prime rib. The House of Prime Rib cut is a regular hearty portion. The English cut is a thinner cut of beef. The King Henry VIII cut is an extra large hearty portion of beef.
The prime rib itself is excellent. It’s tender, juicy, and tastes great with the fresh cream of horseradish sauce. The creamed spinach was the best I’ve ever had. The mashed potatoes and gravy were also good. The Yorkshire pudding was light and airy and went well with the prime rib. I also tried some of the creamed corn. I liked the creamed corn as well and would definitely go for it if you’re a corn person. They offer you a 2nd round of prime rib. I polished my 2nd round but it’s worth noting that you could take the 2nd round and then have it boxed to take home if you’re full.
I would say House of Prime Rib would definitely be a good place for a special occasion. It’s a little loud if you’re trying to socialize. But the customer service is great. I highly highly recommend making a reservation.
