Kenny and I have a godson! Mother’s Day weekend we were honored to become godparents to Sebastian. Sebastian is the son of my godsister Alexis. Alexis’s parents are my godparents (as in when I was raised and baptized in the Catholic church as a little girl). Alexis and Aaron are also Roxy’s godparents though we didn’t do a Catholic ceremony for her. Kenny and I are no longer practicing Catholics. But we pledged to love Sebastian and always be here for him. We affirmed that we accept Jesus and renounce Satan. I love the 1st picture above because it represents generations of solid love. I know our kids are going to grow up together and I’m proud to call everyone in this picture my family.
Mother’s Day was such a special day because, of course, it was our 1st Mother’s Day with Roxy. Roxy was so sweet and made me a card and gave me a little bookmark and a little bag of treats. Kenny outdid himself and set the bar really high for any other occasion in the future. I got one personal gift which I’m going to keep private because it’s a symbol of his love for me. Kenny woke me up in the morning with a dozen roses and my favorite Orange Dream Machine Jamba Juice with strawberries. Then later in the day I also got more roses, a whole Gianduja chocolate cake from Ginger Elizabeth, a cupcake and macarons from Ginger Elizabeth, a gift certificate for a couples massage, and Wagyu ribeye steaks which he made for me himself using a cast iron skillet. I had a wonderful day with my family and godfamily.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there! May God bless all of you and your families! May we also honor and remember all those Mothers out there who have passed on but who still live in our hearts.
