My husband had the the Filipino Bacon and Eggs with pork belly, eggs, onion, and tomato. I tried some and it was excellent. It was actually super filling and a bit on the heavy side. (Definitely NOT a healthy entree) I had the Hapa Ramen with roast pork, pork broth, poached egg, bamboo shoots, bok choy, and spicy akira miso. I liked it and my husband didn’t. I should explain that this ramen is not authentic ramen. I was instructed to break the poached egg and mix it in, which I did. I did like the ramen and the soup overall. The noodles themselves were perfect. I honestly can’t count it among my favorite ramens of all time just because I’m so used to traditional ramen. It definitely was tasty, if not authentic. We also tried the pork buns. They were awesome but again, definitely not authentic. The pork buns were served piping hot and the texture of the buns were perfect.
I think that it’s important to realize that Star Noodle has Asian fusion cuisine, which means that most dishes will be a vague interpretation of what normal people would perceive to be an authentic dish (pork buns, ramen, Vietnamese crepe, etc).
I have no complaints about the customer service. We were served by a very friendly waitress who was very knowledgeable about the menu and not afraid to share her suggestions. Overall Star Noodle is a great dinner place with a trendy vibe, good food, and excellent customer service. I will be back for sure.
