Sunsational Swim School – Awesome & Effective Swim Lessons!!!
I’m so excited about Roxy’s latest venture. So we’ve been trying to teach Roxy to swim with some success. We were able to teach her to float. But she still was very fearful of taking off her puddle jumper. So when I was offered the opportunity for Roxy to receive some highly recommended swimming lessons from Sunsational Swim School, I totally jumped on it. We set up some lessons right before we took off for Kauai.
Melinda showed up to our house for Roxy’s first lesson. It was cool because she was able to come to our house which made it super convenient. Although Roxy was a bit anxious about taking off her puddle jumper, Melinda totally quelled her fears. She started off by having Roxy float and worked her to the point where she could float without Melinda’s hand underneath. Then Melinda showed Roxy the basic freestyle strokes and kicks. She had her practice kicking with a kick board, moving her arms, and blowing bubbles. By the end of the first lesson, Roxy was pushing off from the steps and swimming a short distance to Melinda while holding her breath.
Kenny and I are really impressed that Roxy seems to have lost her fear of not wearing her puddle jumper and that she is able to swim a short distance if she pushes off and has someone to “catch” her. Since we own a pool, we want Roxy to learn to swim well as soon as possible. I’m really highly impressed with Sunsational Swim School and with Melinda’s instruction. I intend to keep up Roxy’s lessons and will keep you all posted as to her progress. Right now I would say that Roxy can float and swim very short distances. My hope is that Roxy will be able to swim the length of the pool by the summer’s end and I think Melinda will be able to help make that happen! I really have no reservations about Sunsational Swim School and would highly recommend calling them to set up swimming lessons for your children. JAX APPROVED!!
