I didn’t like this place. Tasteless food and inattentive service=2 stars.
I ordered the nabeyaki udon but asked for udon with chicken instead of tempura and miso broth instead of the regular broth. They didn’t use miso broth and the broth they did serve me was bland. When I asked the waitress about it, she simply insisted it was miso broth and walked away. They didn’t come to check on us during the meal. It was really hard to get their attention. The servers need to learn to come and check on tables.
I’m really disappointed because the reviews made this place sound awesome and I was thinking about how cool it would be to have good Japanese food in Natomas. The tasteless udon and bad service sticks out in my mind. It seemed rude of the waitress to just walk off after I asked about the miso broth. A refill of my tea, and a simple “How’s everything going? Can I get you anything?” would have gone a long way. Had the service been reasonably good, this place would have gotten 3 stars despite the tasteless food. I really don’t understand all the good reviews on here. I do not want to go back and will not be giving this place another shot.
I have no reservations whatsoever about not recommending this place.
