Great food. Great fresh fish. Great service. I went to The Fishery with my husband and some friends. We were really impressed by the fresh fish selection. We ordered the Tuesday tasting menu consisting of smoked black cod with apple and mustard viniagrette, squash soup, crispy skin salmon with sweet potato mash and pomegranate port sauce, and a fig tartlet with vanilla ice cream and balsamic reduction. We also got the clams in white wine sauce and the fishery soup.
The smoked black cod and crispy skin salmon were out of this world. I had never tasted smoked black cod before and now I am definitely a fan. It was delicate and melted like butter in my mouth. The crispy skin totally set off the salmon and I loved the crispy texture. The squash soup was creamy with just a hint of nutmeg, very delicious. The fig tartlet was small but very good. I was wishing it was bigger. I loved the white wine clams though they were a bit small. The fishery soup was awesome. I would consider coming here on a cold day sometime and just get some soup. I had a bite of my friend’s swordfish tacos. I can say the swordfish was tasty. I would definitely consider getting those the next time I’m here.
My husband and I really liked the fact that we were wearing flip flops, shorts, and capris and it was totally fine. From the outside The Fishery seemed like it would be more upscale. But you can walk into The Fishery totally casual or totally dressed up and you’ll be fine.
Definitely try the Tuesday Tasting Menu. The wine selection is great as well. I had a great riesling. The Fishery is a gem of a restaurant and unlike all the other restaurants in PB. Try it!
