Jax Chronicles has a new partner and it’s The Habit Burger Grill! They have some cool new things going on that we want to let you all know about. The Habit Burger Grill has teamed up with No Kid Hungry to help kids struggling with hunger. From now through the end of September, The Habit is raising funds to help kids in need with nutritious meals. Guests who donate $2 or more to No Kid Hungry will receive a coupon for a free charburger with cheese, good on a return visit. It’s a great cause and a great excuse to visit The Habit Burger Grill.
As a delicious backdrop to this campaign, The Habit is hosting its own Hatch Chile festival, tapping into the chile that’s having its own culinary moment. The Habit chargrills each chile over an open flame to bring out the smoky flavor and deepen the savory taste in the new, limited time Hatch Chile menu items, which include:
– Hatch Chile Charburger ($4.95) featuring bold southwest flavor with grilled Hatch green chiles, melted cheese, fire-roasted chipotle salsa, tomatoes, lettuce and mayo on a toasted sesame seed bun.
– Hatch Chile Chicken Sandwich ($6.95) with lime-marinated, chargrilled chicken breast with grilled Hatch green chiles, melted cheese, fire-roasted chipotle salsa, tomatoes, lettuce and mayo on grilled sourdough bread.
– Hatch Chile Chicken Salad ($7.25) with lime-marinated, chargrilled chicken breast on top of hand-cut greens with feta cheese, diced tomatoes, carrots, black beans, chargrilled sliced Hatch chiles and fresh cilantro, tossed in our house-made cilantro lime ranch dressing.
All The Habit burger locations in Sacramento are participating in this effort. It sounds yummy to me. Kenny loves burgers so I know we’ll be be trying out the food on this new Hatch Chile Festival menu soon.
