We traveled out to Sonoma for a wedding this past weekend and it was awesome. It was a touching wedding and we were happy to be able to celebrate with our friends Margot and Jeff. You could tell how deep their love is. I personally liked the setting after the sun had gone down and there were little lights everywhere. I also appreciated one particular tuna tartare appetizer in a cone, the surf and turf entree and the bundt cakes they had. Sonoma is such a romantic setting for a wedding and I feel blessed to have been able to witness this special day.
Roxy stayed with the family of someone I went to high school with and did spectacularly. Usually when we leave her anywhere (we don’t do this often) she gets a shaky lip and cries a bit. But this time, she was totally fine. Whew! We then traveled to San Jose and visited a few good friends and ate at Blue Line Pizza (no time to do a post on it but 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up!) Roxy got a chance to meet some important people in our lives and also got to try Snow-Zen shaved snow for the first time. She kept saying, “Mama, MORE!”
As usual, our lives lately have been rather busy, what with the move and all. Roxy has a very full life and is enjoying frequent play dates and her MyGym class. She will be starting Pre-school soon at Brookfield School whenever they finish construction. I’ve been alternating my week days between taking care of Roxy, Roxy’s schedule, and unpacking.
I’m going to ask for prayer because we still have A LOT of unpacking to do and we haven’t fully settled into the house yet. I honestly think it’s going to take another month or two for me to gain a rhythm in this house. Both me and Kenny have accidentally driven back to our old house before while on auto pilot. Also, we have discovered that it’s quite a lot of work to own two houses.
Stay tuned. Our 5 year wedding anniversary is coming up this next weekend. More traveling, food, fun, and Roxy updates to come!
