Update: It’s A Girl & Roxy’s School Days

Roxy is the newest member of the Merryhill Mini Kickers
We got the results of a prenatal screening test recently and I’m happy to share that we’re expecting a little girl! We’re thrilled and Roxy is very excited at the prospect of having a baby sister. Honestly, we would have been happy with either gender. But it’s thrilling just to know that the baby is a girl so we can start making plans. Haha, and actually we have plenty of clothes from about 18 months on. So pretty much, we just need to get all of the early baby items and clothes and then we’re set!
The last ultrasound went well. Our baby girl is very active and it was exciting to see her moving around on the screen. She is growing at a rapid rate and according to my What To Expect app, she’s the size of a turnip. I think it’s funny that each week there is a food that we can compare her size to.
Roxy got her preschool pictures from Merryhill Preschool and Kenny and I are thrilled with them. It probably helps that I take so many pics of Roxy on my iPhone because she is well trained and says “cheese” with a nice smile whenever anybody takes a pic. Roxy also recently started playing soccer and loves it. Awhile back we got a notice advising us of soccer sign-ups. We decided it would be a good sport for Roxy and she really loves it. She looks so cute in her uniform. I love seeing her being physically active.
I ask for continued prayer for the growth of our baby girl and for my nausea. I’m still having a bit of a hard time keeping food down.
