Giving In
After hearing Roxy and Carissa, as well as Kenny, beg me for weeks, I finally gave in and consented to getting a puppy. We held off for the longest time, because Kenny and I couldn’t agree on the type of dog we wanted. I am a very small, very petite woman. I didn’t want a big dog that would weigh more than me. So I finally said that that if I could pick the dog breed, then we could get one. And now my life has turned upside down! But hey, it’s 2020! So much has happened this year so why not?!
Marshmallow
We found Marshmallow through a Craigslist ad. I know, I know! It sounds shady. But it really wasn’t. He was born June 30th so he is 7 weeks old. I found this nice woman whose poodle had gotten pregnant with her Mom’s maltese. So, we actually felt the we were doing a good thing!
We met her in the parking lot of a PetSmart in Rancho Cordova, and I seriously wondered if I was losing my mind. But she had the puppy with her and he seemed to be okay. So I Venmoed her in the parking lot a small fee and we had our puppy! We marched into PetSmart and I announced, “Hey, we need some help here because we just got a puppy in the parking lot and don’t know what he needs!” A woman, who seemed to be a manager asked, “Are you serious?” I responded by holding up Marshmallow and said, “See, I don’t have a leash or collar!” PetSmart hooked us up and even gave us some discounts and we were on our way home.
The girls named our puppy Marshmallow. He is the sweetest, littlest, fluffiest dog ever! We are IN LOVE! He has already attached himself really well to Roxy. The girls fight over who gets to hold him but they are both on cloud 9. I really really thing we picked a good dog. Of course, we got really lucky!
