This is the best place for Korean that I have found so far in the Bay Area. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. You don’t usually see a Korean place that has great tofu soups and grilled items. Korean places are usually known for one or the other. This place has excellent tofu soups, grilled items, and bibimbap.
I got the soondobu (tofu soup) with kimchee and beef (regular spicy). My husband got the Dolsot Bibimbap. Both items were very good. They were right on target with bringing out the eggs to crack in the tofu soup without me having to ask for them. I really liked the fact that the rice was served in a stone pot and they they served each person a grilled fish. The grilled fish was really tasty. The house made kimchee was spot on.
This placed gets packed so make sure to make a reservation. Also, be aware that they are a little understaffed here so it might take awhile for them to do things like get you some more water. They do try very hard here though and are reasonably friendly.
This is definitely a Korean restaurant with very good value. It’s not expensive and the food will satisfy you. I will definitely be back.
