Namu Gaji – San Francisco, CA – Phenomenal Asian Fusion!
I had a fabulous experience across the board at Namu Gaji.
I went here with a group of 5 people on a Sunday for brunch. You order at the counter and pay and then they bring out your food to you. You seat yourself. Now, although this place is small, we had no issues whatsoever securing a table for 5 at 1pm on a Sunday. We were greeted courteously and with a smile and the hostess offered us some great advice in terms of how to get a table quickly.

The Asian Fusion food is phenomenal. I don’t use that word lightly. I loved the okonomiyaki, the kimchee fried rice, and the hangtown eggs benedict. I’ve had plenty of okonomiyaki in my lifetime. This okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) was super tasty and I will for sure be getting this the next time I’m there. The kimchee fried rice was good, flavorful, and about what you’d expect. I liked that they had a fried egg on top. The hangtown eggs benedict with the little bit of fried oyster was also good. The oyster added something extra to the benedict. Although the portion of the eggs benedict seemed small at first, it was actually quite filling. My husband had an Arnold Palmer that was refreshing and not too sweet. When he requested a shot of soju in it, they accommodated his request. I enjoyed some iced barley tea, which is traditionally a Korean staple.
In summary, I have no reservations whatsoever about recommending Namu Gaji to anybody who likes Asian Fusion food. The food is fantastic, the customer service rocks, and it has a trendy yet casual vibe. There’s nothing not to like! Go for the okonomiyaki!
