Update: Easter Weekend With Family
We had a wonderful Easter weekend with family. We also celebrated both my Mom’s birthday and my Dad’s birthday since they are within a week of each other. On Saturday, Kenny, my sister Ali, and I took Roxy to Fairy Tale Town. Now, we had considered going to the big egg hunt at the Capitol in midtown. They were trying to set a Guinness Book of World Records for the most number of eggs. However, when I heard that it was mass chaos with people pushing and shoving and that they didn’t even set the record, I was quite glad that we opted for Fairy Tale Town.
Fairy Tale Town had several egg hunts grouped by age. The cool thing was that the parents were content to let the kids find the eggs themselves. It was Roxy’s first time hunting Easter eggs. She grabbed so many eggs that they started to spill out of her bucket. Afterwards we bought some popsicles for Roxy and watched her go down the slides. We at at Ravenous on Saturday night, which my parents loved. I really think Ravenous is our new favorite restaurant. Easter Sunday itself was a bit rainy. So we decided to have our own indoor Easter egg hunt at my parent’s house for Roxy. There were 36 eggs and every single one had some jellybeans or candy in them. Roxy had a blast!
It makes me so happy as Roxy’s Mom that she can enjoy simply pleasures like hunting for eggs. Roxy has such a bright future ahead of her and I am so blessed to be her Mama.
Alleluia, He is risen! To God be the glory!
I hope you all had a Happy Easter! May each of you be blessed this week.
XOXO Jax
