I was stoked to try a new protein shake by a company that is locally owned recently. I think these guys are innovators with a great product. Whey2Go is a just add water protein shake in a recyclable bottle. It has 30 grams of protein with only 4 carbs, only 1 gram of sugar, and just 5 ingredients making it far easier for the body to digest. The main ingredient is whey. Whey is the liquid remaining after milk has been curdled and strained. It’s a by-product of the manufacture of cheese or casein and has several commercial uses. Sweet whey is manufactured during the making of rennet types of hard cheese like cheddar or Swiss cheese. Acid whey is a by-product produced during the making of acid types of dairy products such as cottage cheese or strained yogurt.
I’ve tried Whey2Go and I think it’s a great way to get some extra protein while on the go. If you know me, you also know that I’m VERY PETITE and have a crazy metabolism. Not to mention, I have a crazy and hectic life as a Mom. So I’m always looking for some ways to get some protein. Everything from the bottle to the protein itself is made here in America. Two of the founders are actually veterans and I just love the idea of supporting a local company that was started by men who serve our country.
To give you a bit of background, Whey2Go was started by two brothers, Eric and Brian Frizzie who are lieutenants in the California Army National Guard. The idea was originally conceived by Brian who sought out to solve the problem of carrying around a dirty protein shaker and enlisted the help of his brother Eric who is a serial entrepreneur. Eric helped refine the idea into a just add water protein shake in a recyclable bottle. He then did the pre-manufacturing groundwork to start the business and gifted his brother with half of the company. Shortly after this Eric was introduced to Brett Currier, a sergeant in the CA Army National Guard and an entrepreneur himself. Brett believed in the vision and was brought on as a co-founder. Eric, Brian and Brett all shared a vision of giving back to the community that has given them so much. Whey2Go gives back by bringing jobs to the area, sponsoring local events and providing healthy, convenient protein at an affordable price.
I highly recommend you check Whey2Go out. You have nothing to lose by trying this protein shake, which I now keep in my pantry and in my car. Whey2Go Workout Campaign will be running August 10-August 30th. With this campaign you can take free fitness classes at participating gyms, yoga studios, and MMA gyms in your local community.
