Hong Kong December 2010
I’ve been meaning to upload my Hong Kong pics for awhile. This was a particularly memorable trip since it was the first time Kenny and I have been back to Hong Kong since we got married. The funny thing is that I grew up in the U.S. and I have spent all but 3 Christmases in Hong Kong.
My favorite parts of this trip were spending time with Kenny and my family, eating xiao long bao (soup dumplings), stuffing my face with my family every single day, hanging out at Lan Kwai Fong, shopping up a storm, and seeing my friend Tania. I really love Hong Kong every though it is a very crowded city. I love how the subway (MTR or Metro Transit Railway) is super clean and how you can shop for food and buy things to eat right as you get on and off the subway. I love how you can take the MTR to almost anywhere in Hong Kong.
Since both my parents and Kenny’s parents were born in Hong Kong, it is really a part of who we are. Our families are both originally from Guangdong Province in China and at some point, all our grandparents migrated to Hong Kong or were born in Hong Kong. We still have plenty of family there. We intend to keep going regularly.
I hope you like the pics!
